  2. Discussion of Chicago Meeting
    1. Chicago campus is well-known but satellite campuses are not known as much
      1. Suggestions made for raising awareness:
        1. Day in the life of a med student
        2. Newsletter with contributions from each site
      2. Graduating with honors proposed
        1. Top 25% of class at each site at end of M2
        2. Step 1 = 240 or better
        3. Step 2 = 245 or better
        4. Minimum clerkship O’s requirement – 4 O’s

    1. Bi-weekly newsletter suggested

  5. Treasurer Andy’s report
    1. Current bank account balance: $1,672.83
    2. Approximate costs for previous year spring formals: ~$4,000
    3. Charity auction has generated ~$4,000 in the past
  6. Education Policy report
    1. Basic Sciences
      1. Number of tests taken in a day limit proposed
        1. Finals are 2 per day and rest of the exams are much more distributed – no changes made to current format
      2. Block curriculum proposed
        1. Current layout is intended to prepare for USMLE Step 1 – integrative education
      3. TA Reviews
        1. Complaint that too many irrelevant questions asked during review sessions
        2. Histology review suggested – Dr. Williams offered to create a review sheet as well as hold a lecture review for the Final Exam
      4. License purchase of Simbrio
      5. Evaluation of Statistics Lectures
        1. Formatting change after Dr. Kies’ survey
        2. Suggestion made to mention professionalism or make sure students are aware faculty will be reading comments in first newsletter
      6. Recording of lectures
        1. Webcasting/Podcasting suggested – more correspondence with Dr. Woodward necessary

        1. Suggestion made by classmates to include a more advanced clinical introduction program (other than CPP) for students with some background
