Meeting Minutes
April 3, 2002
Formal will take place Sat April 20th 7pm-12am. Tickets $12.50/person
Expected attendance: over 150 people
Dinner will start at 7:15. Awards will be presented shortly after dinner.
Actual price of meal: entree $17.00, dessert $4.00 plus mandatory 17% gratuity (however we got a tax exemption, we will save 8% on all meals)
Price on drinks: domestic beer $4.50/can, house wine $5.00/glass, soda $2.50 Each formal ticket will give the individual the chance to have two $6.00 drinks. After that everyone will be responsible for buying their own drinks, so bring extra money!

Variety Show will take place on Sat April 27th
Place: McKinley Foundation $250-300 renting fee
Amenities: full stage, piano available at site, sound system has been rented. University parking structure across the street
Parent's weekend will take place Sun April 28th
At 1:00 pm a formal program will start in the auditorium: giving parents a sense of what it is like to be an M1. Dr. Gallman will give a mini-lecture on Basal Ganglia. Subsequently parents will get a tour of the Medical Science Building. Events will finalize with reception at the Illini Union Room 314.
Spring Merchandise Sale
Chris Doran was unable to sell on Carle property. For future attempts person should contact auxiliary programs at Carle.
Adrian Cordovi is responsible for the class merchandise sale. Keep your eyes open for more medical school attire!
Anatomy Memorial Service will be on Thu May 9th tentatively 3:30-4:30

Art work solicited for program deadline April 8th
Adrian Cordovi
Requesting sponsors for Dr Cohen's presentation. He will be talking on April 4th at 12:00pm in the Auditorium. Topic: Alternatives to using animals in physiology labs of Medical Schools.
Library Committee
Astrid will be attending bringing request from student body: ie. hours, temperature, color printer and more.
New Urbana Medical Student Council Secretaries: Connie Wittenberg for Rockford and Chris Erb for Urbana
Plans for near future: Need a liaison at the different campuses for Guarantee Professional Program Admission students. Liaison would mentor and answer questions for the GPPA students in regards to assigned sites.
