Blood Drive
 | UMSG is sponsoring a Blood Drive October 10 in Room 354A from 10 am-4 pm |
| Show your support by donating some blood! |
First Presentation of the Brown Bag Series:
| October 25, 2001 at Noon in the MSB Auditorium |
| Dr. Nestor Ramirez, neonatalogist, will honor us with his presence presenting folk medicine: "It takes a lifetime to become a good physician" |
| Lunch will be provided!!!!!! |
| Come one, come all! |
GRADUATE SOCIAL
| Come drink, relax, and meet new people, who are not medical school students! |
| The Law school is inviting the Medical School and the MBA School for a night at Jillian's on OCTOBER 26 |
| Cover tentatively: $1.00 |
| More information will be provided at a later date |
Wanted: Merchandise Sale Committee
| We would like 2 representative from each class to steer the committee. |
| The committee will be responsible for setting up stations to sell the merchandise, schedule people to help sell, place orders with the manufacturer, maintain contact with the graphic designer, keep track of all the money, and report to our treasurer, Chris Doran of all sales |
| We would like a few individuals who are web masters, if possible! We envision students, faculty, and family members ordering merchandise right from the comfort of their home computer on the web! |
| It has not been decided what type of merchandise will be ordered, but so far we have discussed T-shirts, fleece pull-overs, and sweatshirts |
| The deadline for the design contest is OCTOBER 15 |
| We would like to begin sales the last week of October |

Brown Bag Lunch
| UMSG envisions having speakers in for lunch on a regular basis dealing with various subjects, such as Hispanic health issues, residency programs, primary care, etc. |
| We can't do this alone! We would like other organizations to help us accomplish this event. |
| UMSG is willing to provide some monetary assistance to other organizations who want to bring in a speaker for lunch. The money will cover half the cost of the lunch (pizza) to attract attendance. Applications will be available if interested. |

Memorial Service
| Our predecessors organized a memorial service for the families of the bodies donated to our anatomy lab. |
| UMSG would like to make this event a tradition! |
| All that we learn in the anatomy lab from the bodies will allow us to become better physicians. We would like to show our gratitude to their families. |
| Connie Wittenberg (delao@uiuc.edu) and Mike Wilson (mwilson@psych.uiuc.edu) will be in charge of the committee. If anyone is interested in helping please email them. |
Spring Formal
