Greetings! This is the home page for the Pediatric Interest Group (PIG) based at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Urbana-Champaign.
We're students who are interested in pediatrics, the area of medicine concerning the health of children, ranging from newborns to adolescents. We're more than happy to hear from people with suggestions and ideas on how we can help out those who are interested in the field of pediatrics.
Membership is $5, although membership in the national organization for pediatrics, the American Academy of Pediatrics, does cost $30 a year. We also have a small local e-mail list which we'll use to mail out announcements and discuss issues of importance.
