Save the date to celebrate the MSPs 30th Birthday! The 28th Annual Medical Scholars Program Retreat held at the Robert Allerton House in Monticello, Illinois on Saturday, August 23rd-Sunday, August 24th, 2008. Please make plans to attend. More details coming soon! Our keynote speaker will be MSP Alumnus, Scott Selco, MD, PhD, neurologist and Director of Stroke Care at the Sunrise Hospital Stroke Center in las Vegas. He will be speaking about his experiences as an MSP alumnus, his career path and current work. To learn more about the Stroke Center, please visit this Web site. This year we anticipate having a fantastic program as it is the 30th anniversary of the Medical Scholars Program. Based on feedback from past retreats and YOUR input, we are making some exciting changes to the schedule. The retreat will include plenty of free time in the afternoon so students can explore the Allerton grounds, socialize with other students, or participate in outdoor activities. Additionally, we are excited to bring back an Alumni Panel.To capture the spirit of the students in our program, we have set up an on-line photo submission site. Please consider submitting photos to be included in our MSP slideshow...an event you won't want to miss. Also don't forget to submit a poster-- we also encourage you to use pre-presented posters such as those from research symposium this year.
