Public Engagement
Ambassador Program
Ambassador's Role
The College asks that Ambassadors participate by:
- Helping to identify customized needs of the community where the College can make a contribution.
- Being the “on-site” representative of the College so that in the ordinary activities of each day, have knowledge and information about the College and as well as higher education in general. For example, in Morris, there is a group that meets informally each day for coffee. Many things come up for discussion, and in that forum, the Ambassador would have information to share if appropriate to the discussion.
- Hosting one session each year in their community related to identified community needs and interests.
- Attending College events such as the White Coat Ceremony and Graduation.
- Being the local/regional legislative liaison about related issues.
