The Department is primarily organized for the purposes of teaching undergraduate medical students. The expectation of the Obstetrics and Gynecology clerkship is that the student will build the minimal foundation of knowledge, attitudes, and skills in the disciplines that will be needed for general competencies, regardless of the specialty of primary care field that the student will eventually enter.
