Mission Statement
Mission
As part of the land-grant University of Illinois, and an embedded unit of the Urbana campus, the College of Medicine, has a three-fold mission:
- Educate physicians for 21st century health care and develop and train the physician leaders of tomorrow.
- Through its multidisciplinary approach to research, provide the opportunities for new pathways to discover and build the research teams of the future.
- Share educational advances and new discoveries with constituents so that society is better for having been connected to the College and the campus, and so they understand the benefits derived from their investments in the University.
