Analysis of learning needs
- Determine knowledge, skills, attitudes required
- Identify ability to teach these
Design
- Determine learning objectives, teaching strategies, evaluation methods
- Identify supporting media, methods, and people
Development
- Draft teaching materials, process
- Conduct pre-trial and/or consult others for input
Implementation
- Conduct learning intervention (i.e. class, mentoring, procedure log, portfolios, etc)
Evaluation
- Decide if learning objective has been met (learner level)
- Determine program's impact (organizational level)
- Identify necessary changes for continuous improvement
